We never publish a source's identity without consent, and we do not hand over source material voluntarily. Ordinary email is not fully secure, so please avoid attaching confidential documents in a first message.

Press releases are welcome at the general desk, but we cover very few of them and never publish them as reporting. Requests for interviews with our journalists, or for them to speak at events, also go to the general desk.
